A seventh grader who goes to Christa McAuliffe Middle school and previously attended Julia Morgan Elementary. I started piano lessons at the age of 6. It was funny and dramatic at the same time between me and my dad every time we talked about the first several years of my piano journey. Fast forward, at the age of 9, I started helping at Presentation church in the 8:45AM contemporary band as a pianist where my dad played bass guitar. Before that I was already helping the band on putting together the sound system and helping on mixing the sound board. Our runs lasted about a year and a half until we were halted by COVID. Even after that tumultuous turn of events, it still wouldn’t stop me and many others from joining together in song! After the pandemic decided to calm down (thanks to the power of vaccination and COVID regulations), our Presentation band regrouped in September of 2021 and in November of 2021, kuya Joseph introduced me to St. Bernadette church music director uncle Leo where i started serving as a pianist. Strangely, it feels familiar working here. I can barely see the congregation nor the congregation see me due to how short I am, but I thanked Father John Peter for telling them that I am there behind the piano. I was a little bit nervous at the beginning but thank you to uncle Leo, the cantors, and everyone from the music ministry for their support. I enjoy my weekend church activities and am able to see the people in our community.
